Exploring Central Beirut Lebanon What to See

Let's visit Beirut which is the capital and largest city of Lebanon. Located on a peninsula at the midpoint of Lebanon's Mediterranean coast, Beirut is the country's largest and main seaport. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, inhabited more than 5,000 years ago. The first historical mention of Beirut is found in the ancient Egyptian Tell el Amarna letters dating from the 15th century BC. The Beirut River runs south to north on the eastern edge of the city.

Central Japan Trip Shinhotaka Ropeway by Kieru

When you're staying around Takayama, based on my research, restaurants in Shin-hotaka Ropeway offer cheaper rate for Hida Beef course meal, quality is great too. We took the first bus ride to Shin-Hotaka since we also have Kamikochi in the afternoon. Even though we traveled on a Friday, the bus to Shinhotaka isn't full.Best to check their live cam since it's kinda disappointing if you'll end up visiting when it's foggy. Alternatively, you can try their cool outdoor onsens though. Have read some good reviews about it.

Central World | Village Food in Central Africa in Rural Rwanda by Mark Wiens

Village Food in Central Africa in Rural Rwanda by Mark Wiens

I signed up to go on a tour with Azizi Life, and I did the home food tour. It turned out to be even better than I was expecting, and truly a glimpse into rural life and a community in Rwanda. The food, the culture, and the dancing after lunch was one of the highlights of the day. Muhanga Town. In the morning we first drove from Kigali to Muhanga Town, about an hour outside of Kigali. The green mountain roads were pectacular. Rwanda is known as the land of 1000 hills, and I think that might be an underestimation as there are never ending hills in this part of Central Africa. After being warmly greeted and welcomed by the community of ladies, we first went to go fetch water. This is something many of us, myself for sure, take for granted. But in the rural countryside of Africa, even in cities, there are many people who have no running water, and when they need water for anything, they must walk to the well or source of freshwater, and carry all the water they need. It’s something to always remember.

Mountains in Central Switzerland Above the Clouds

Usually there is a clear sky above the clouds. It takes some effort to get there, but the views are rewarding and offer a fantastic outlook to the mountains. You choose whether or not to hike up from the bottom or take one of the many cable cars to reach a level where hiking becomes a relaxing walk

Central Texas and Colorado River Railway EB Train

This ex-Santa Fe branch was the Gulf, Colorado & San Saba RR, then the Heart of Texas Railroad and now it has become an OmniTrax operation called the Central Texas & Colorado River Railway. My friend, J.R. Leal, and I visited this property again on our annual Bluebonnets and Trains picture taking tour. Unfortunately, once again, between the wonderful improvements made to the track and RofW and a recent spraying for weeds, we were pretty much thwarted in our efforts to get the train WITH some bluebonnets.

Central Alaska Fall Color Highlight Reel by MountainSnowFlyer

Filmed along the the George Parks Highway, west end of the Denali Highway, Fairbanks, and in my own backyard. The song Foggy Mountain Special is by a now defunct local band called the Rock Creek Ramblers. Some of the members of this band now comprise the Short Haired Ginnys. If you get a chance if you are in the Denali area in the summer I highly recommend it. The separate HD recording camera is the lightweight but tough Drift HD in 1080p 30fps.
